The main reason we went to California when we did was to see my niece Billie compete in pole vaulting. She is a freshman this year in high school and has been pole vaulting all year. I really wanted to watch one of her meets and it just so happened that when we were there we got to go to two meets. It was great. In her second meet Billie got a PR of 9 feet! It was so exciting to watch. My mom came down for one of her meets and it was fun just being able to take pictures of Billie while my mom and sister chased after Roxie the whole time.
